In this era of high accountability, teachers are being asked to provide more feedback than ever before. However, as this stage in teaching backwards passionately argues, the purpose of written and verbal feedback is to enhance progress and this can only happen if learners get into the habit of acting on it. So we need to, not only create routines where learners act on feedback given, but develop their ability to give and receive high quality feedback to their peers….
